Easy Tips to Help You Manage Your Credit Cards
Once you have chosen you credit card you need to make sure that you manage your credit successfully to avoid any future problems that might negatively impact your future credit rating or interfere with the credit privileges that you currently enjoy. Here are some easy tips to help you manage your credit and stay on track.
Tip #1: Make a budget
Keeping a close eye on how much you are spending and how much debt you are racking up on your credit card is very important. And since certain types of credit cards have less of a grace period than others, setting a pre-determined amount of how much you are allowed to spend will help you to stay on top of your credit so that you do not get buried under mountains of credit card bills.
Tip #2: Always pay on time
To help make sure that your bill is never late, mark the due date on your calendar but mark it three days earlier. That way if you do wait until the last minute, you will still be able to get your payment in on time. And if you are worried about missing a payment, setting your account up for automatic payments may be a good idea. Paying on time is one of the things that will directly affect your credit score so this is very important.
Tip #3: Use a separate card for online purchases
If you are afraid that your personal information may get stolen, or if you happen to be a shopaholic, setting up a prepaid Visa debit card for shopping could help you keep your spending under control and make sure that you main credit card is not in jeopardy when you give out billing information.
Tip #4: Keep your receipts and check your balance frequently
Keeping an eye on your account will not only help you to control your own spending but will help alert you to any potential problems with your account so they can be dealt with in a timely fashion. Some cards offer you a service where you can have your daily balance sent to you via email or as a text message to your phone. And be sure to call customer service right away if you notice anything suspicious and call them immediately if you loose your card or think it has been stolen.
These are some very simple and easy steps for you to follow but they can help you to make a big difference in managing your credit successfully.

I also have multiple credit cards. VISA has worked well for me, so far at least.

I wonder which card is the best overall, VISA or Mastercard?
